Good morning, and happy Tuesday! Life is full of new and exciting opportunities for us to dip our toes into, but are you actually taking those opportunities and running with them, or are you afraid of failing? The truth is that you won’t know what the outcome will be unless you actually take the leap of faith and see where the journey takes you. You never know what could come out of a situation until you decide to give it a shot! In this Morning Motivational, I want to talk about trying new things! Y'all, get in on this and share your answers in the comments!
How did trying something new make you feel?
So recently, I was in the Uwharrie Forest and I took Tank up Poser Rock, which was a new thing to me as I’ve never done it before. That day was my opportunity to put Tank on the rock, and while it was a little nerve-wracking to drive up a rockface, it was so exhilarating and exciting at the same time. I was so proud of myself for making it up there, and I was thankful that I had a good spotter and friend to guide me up the rock. New things can be scary sometimes, but you’ll never know the true outcome of the situation if you don’t take the chance and climb the mountain (or rock in this case).
What is something that you haven’t tried but would like to?
Whitewater rafting, skydiving, publishing a novel, trying out for Survivor, and the $100 Unicorn cigar from Dunbarton. All of those things involve risk and reward! To be completely honest, though, I have always wanted to get my CDL. I never planned on becoming a product photographer; I had originally wanted to be a truck driver. Local, starting out, but eventually broadening my horizons and going cross-country. I still think about getting it, which means I probably should. Why not, right? It’s all the more knowledge and skills to gain!
I hope to hear y’all’s answers in the comments below!
I love you all so much! Stay safe and stay positive! 💖
If you feel so inclined, please feel free to share this post with someone who may need it, or if you just want to share my ramblings with those around you!
CDL* You know, part of writing is also rereading what you wrote. 🤦🏼♀️ You'll also need to fill out a Hazardous Materials Endorsement application.
In the past, I've gotten two results after trying something new: I'm thrilled and proud of myself or I'm disappointed and 'hating' myself. That disappointment often leads to anger and quitting, which I know I shouldn't do so easily. However, on a more positive note, I would love to try writing more consistently. I read every day, yet I don't write? I don't like that. If I want to grow as a writer, I need to WRITE! PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! And maybe, just maybe, I'll make a career out of it! Also, speaking of careers, come work for Saf-Way after getting your CDL's! We would LOVE to have you! 😁
